Services and expertise
I have been working as a commercial translator since 1998 and I set up my own freelance business in 2002. I work with many different genres of text, including financial and legal documents, although I focus on technical literature, specialising in IT and fields that touch on IT. I mostly translate user manuals, contracts, business letters, internal corporate regulations and procedures, product brochures and catalogues, press releases, PowerPoint presentations, meeting minutes, certificates, financial reports, web sites and software help systems.
Through scrupulous attention to detail and an uncompromising approach to quality, my daily output of well over 3000 words guarantees quick turnaround and client satisfaction. I often work with other translators and reviewers so as to ensure the flawlessness of the end product. I am also frequently involved in high-volume translation projects run by international language service providers.
In my work I supplement my skills and knowledge by conducting extensive research into the domain to be translated and by employing Computer Aided Translation systems such as SDL TRADOS and SDLX or similar proprietary tools provided by clients. Not only does this improve quality and consistency, but it enables my clients to realise significant cost reductions.
